About Pamela Elizabeth Loza

Pam grew up in the Albany Park area of Chicago with her twin sister Paulette, and her parents Paul and Irene Kantor. After her graduation from Roosevelt High School she attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison where she received a B.A. in Spanish and History. Immediately thereafter, Pam received a Masters Degree in Ibero-American Studies from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont. After graduation Pam started working for Rev. Daniel Alvarez as Assistant Director of Casa Central, a social service agency serving the Latino Community. One of her assignments was to run the free legal clinic. Pam became fascinated with the law and she applied to Chicago/Kent College of Law. Pam attended night school at Kent while she worked at Casa Central and later as a law clerk for the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. She graduated in 1978. She was accepted into the Illinois Bar and the Federal Bar in May of 1978. In July of 1979 Pam started work in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office first in the Appeals Section and then in the misdemeanor courtrooms in Northwest Suburban Cook County. After approximately 3 1/2 years Pam opened her private practice concentrating on family and criminal matters.

Pam Loza has been a resident of Mt. Prospect for more than 25 years where she raised her daughter, Liz.

Pam has been active in the community having been a member for over 8 years and past present of the Arlington Heights Sunrise Rotary Club. Pam is currently Chairman of District 214 Women's Center. The District 214 Women's Center gives vocational training and English classes to immigrant women so that they can become economically self sufficient.

Currently Pam and her husband, Dr. Randy Mikos, D.D.S. their two daschunds, Zoe and Zsa Zsa, continue to reside in Mt. Prospect.

Over the years Pam has represented thousands of clients, often representing three generations of the same family. She hopes that she can continue to serve the citizens of Cook County as a Judge.
